Yes Suboktimes is back! I can't find a better way of resurrecting Suboktimes than by posting you the trailer of the new Batman movie namely The Dark Knight Rises.
The most exciting aspect of the movie is that it contains the villain Bane. I did some research on the character since I'm not an avid comic reader and without giving too much away it looks like Batman will have his hands full with this guy.
Something else which I noticed was the inclusion of Ann Hathaway. I remember I read somewhere that she will be in the new Batman movie. I assumed that she will play the same character Maggie Gylenhaal played in The Dark Knight. It seems not, in fact she will play the character Selina Kyle. What makes it very interesting is that Selina Kyle is Catwoman!
I must warn you before watching this trailer, you'll want more after watching it! And you will have to wait to at least July 2012.

Comparison of the cricket world cup teams
As most of you know, the Cricket World Cup will start tomorrow. The opening ceremony was yesterday but that is just a formality. It should be quite exciting with a few teams having a good change of taking the title. To make it more interesting Cricinfo have compared the age of all participating teams with another. In addition to that they have also compared the combined experience of each team. By combining these two factors, it gives you quite a good idea how developed each team is.
Canada have the oldest and youngest players in the tournament: John Davison, who will be 40 years and 286 days on February 19 and Nitish Kumar the youngest - a staggering 16 years and 274 days.
See the average of each team below:
Team - Average Age
Sri Lanka - 29.9
Australia - 29.3
England - 29.0
India - 28.7
Pakistan - 28.7
Ireland - 28.6
South Africa - 28.4
New Zealand - 28.3
Netherlands - 27.6
Canada - 27.6
Kenya - 27.5
West Indies - 27.2
Zimbabwe - 26.6

Zimbabwe - 829
Kenya - 822

Canada - 225
Sachin Tendulkar is the only player who also played in the 1992 tournament. No wonder they have the most caps. Murali is also supposed to play in this World Cup. That is why SL have so many caps.
And finally, which team has the most combined caps that was played only in India, Sri Lanka, or Bangladesh.
Team - Caps
India - 1141

Somehow I don't think Australia will pull it off even though they are defending champions. A lot has happened over the past 4 years. I would thus say that India would be my best bet. Home advantage, a lot of experience, and overall they have a well balanced side.

Don't know if you saw the goal by Wayne Rooney this past weekend against Manchester City. I'm not really a fan of the guy but I must give it to him, it was pretty awesome. Well done!

All Black Skills part 2
See the 2nd video of the All Black players showing off their ball skills! I was very excited when I saw that they made a 2nd video.
They do mention something about you can submit your own video showing your skills, but I didn't really take notice. Their 1st video was a massive hit, with over 2 million hits on YouTube. See it below.
To top if all off, a few Australian rugby players responded to the 1st video with this one. Classic!

Nicholas Cage Matrix
I found a gem of a movie website called The Shiznit which focuses on movies in general. They really have some hilarious articles! Hopefully I will filter the best ones out for you and include them here in the future.
One fine example is the Nicholas Cage matrix. Have you realised that as time goes on the worse his movies gets? Well the matrix shows the relationship between Good/Bad versus the the tone of the character ( crazy or serious pretty much)
Personally I would've put more movies on the rubbish side if you ask me...

So the Social Network took 4 Golden Globes. I have to congratulate Christian Bale for winning in his category, even though I haven’t seen the film. Christian Bale is awesome, any guy who plays Batman is awesome…except George Clooney.

Best and Worst Movies of 2010
To start of this post, I need to introduce you to one of the best critic websites on the internet, namely Metacritic.
What they do is they take multiple reviews of a game, movie, albums, or a TV series, and they calculate an average for all the reviews to give you 1 rating for that item. See the picture below.
So usually when metacritic says a movie or a game is crap, then it probably is.
Anyway, they compiled a list of the best and worst movies of 2010. This gives you the perfect opportunity to pretend that you are a movie expert. So if somebody needs to know whether a movie is good or bad, they can ask you.
But you must remember these aren’t necessarily the movies that made the most money in 2010, but the movies that got the best reviews. In other words, it’s usually art films or foreign films that get the best ratings. If you live in South Africa, it’s the movies that only show in Cinema Nouveau. But seeing that Metacritic is so awesome, they compiled a list consisting only of major film releases (i.e. no art films which we haven’t heard of anyway)
To avoid making this post too long, I will only mention the top 5 in each category.
The Best Major Releases of 2010.
1. The social Network ( “Facebook Movie”)
2. Toy Story 3
3. The King’s Speech
4. The Kids are all right
5. True gift
One of my favorite movies of 2010 was Inception of Leonardo Di Caprio which is on nr 11 if you wanted to know.
The Worst Major Releases of 2010
1. Vampires Suck
2. The Last Airbender
3. Killers
4. The Bounty Hunter
5. Furry Vengeance
Note nr 2. This is the latest movie by M. Night Shyamalan who made Sixth Sense a few years ago. Shame, the dude just cannot repeat the success of that movie. Saw 3D is nr 6 on this list. I actually like the Saw films.
See the article here
Just to make this post even more interesting, metacritic also asked their users to vote for their favorite movies of 2010. But remember they do not necessarily have the best critic reviews, but were the most popular.
1. Inception
2. The Social Network
3. Toy Story 3
4. Black Swan
5. Scott Pilgrim vs The World
They also voted for the worst movies of the year but they only mentioned the top 3.
1. The Last Airbender
2. Sex and the City 2
3. Vampires Sick
They also asked their users to vote for their favorite game and TV show of the year. But I will leave that for another post. If you are interested, click here

Most Powerful People in the World
Have you ever wondered who are the most powerful people in the world? Well Forbes have formulated a list of the top 68 most powerful people. But I have only included the top 5. As you will see, the top 5 mainly consists of presidents and religious figures. But if you look at the rest of the list, you will see some entrepeneursor even outlaws. Forbes looked at a couple things to determine the ranking, namely does the person have influence over a lot of people? Population for a head of state, number of employees for a CEO, and the size of the audience for a media figure. Secondly they looked at the financial resources of each person. This entitled comparing GDP’s for political leaders, net worth for the billionaires, and Global Ranking of companies of the CEO’s. They also looked at if the person is influential in multiple areas. For instance, the Prime Minister of Italy being the owner of AC Milan soccer team.
1. Hu Jintao – President of China.
2. Barack Obama – President of USA
3. Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz al Saud – King of Saudi Arabia
Considering they have the world’s largest reserve of crude oil in the world, this is an obvious choice.
4.
4. Vladimir Putin – Prime Minister of Russia
5. Pope Benedict XVI
Some interesting ranks are:
Bill Gates (Microsoft) – 10
Steve Jobs ( Apple) – 17
The 2 founders of Google – 22 & 23. They aren’t the household names like Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, or Mark Zukerburg. Hhhmmm wonder why?
Mark Zukerburg ( Facebook) – 40
Osama Bin Laden ( Al – Queda) – 57

2012 most absurd science movie
Have you ever seen the movie 2012? While watching it, did you at some stage think “ this is absolutely ridiculous!”?. Well you are not the only one. Apparently NASA has awarded the movie 2012 as the most absurd science-fiction film, i.e. it IS ridiculous!
The movie is pretty much about the 2012 phenomenon that the world is going to end on 21 December 2012. Add a minor storyline and some budget and you have the motion picture 2012.
Here is a trailer of the movie:
Metacritic also did not give the movie very good ratings (49/100) which is not very surprising.
See the article here.
NASA even had to create a FAQ page regarding the issue. See it here.
